Including filter system and high-performance Chloroform filter.
Chloroform can form when treatment disinfectants like chlorine react with natural organic material in source water. Also called trichloromethane, it’s one of several disinfection byproducts utilities monitor for. You might first notice a change in taste or an odd odor when running hot water for showers, laundry, or washing dishes in an East Naples home; even if your water looks clear, these compounds can still be present in small amounts.
Because chloroform is volatile it can off-gas into the air during showering, cooking, or clothes washing — not only when you sip a glass of water. That’s why many homeowners in Collier County choose treatment at the point where water enters the house instead of relying solely on pitchers or under-sink filters. A whole-house solution helps reduce what your family contacts across every tap, giving cleaner-feeling water throughout East Naples without changing how you live in your home.
The single most effective whole-house option for reducing chloroform is an activated carbon filter. Carbon media adsorbs many organic compounds, including trichloromethane, as water flows through the tank. When installed on the main supply to your East Naples property, a carbon system treats shower, bath, and kitchen water simultaneously, improving water quality across the house without adding chemicals.
To work well in our hard, humid Naples-area water, a carbon whole-house unit needs adequate media volume and enough contact time for your home’s flow rate, plus regular media or cartridge changes so the bed doesn’t become exhausted. Mr. Pure Water can size and install an activated carbon system for your plumbing — including considerations for mineral scale common in East Naples — and keep it running quietly so your household enjoys more consistent water quality at every tap.
