Including filter system and high-performance Endrin filter.
Endrin is a synthetic pesticide that can linger in the environment long after its use has stopped. Although it’s not obvious by taste, smell, or sight, traces can show up in water because of past agricultural or industrial activity. Seaglades homeowners won’t usually detect it without testing, so if you have questions about your water quality it’s a good idea to get your supply checked and understand any potential risks.
Because endrin is an organic pesticide, it behaves differently than dissolved minerals that cause hard water or scale. Even at low concentrations people often prefer to reduce organic contaminants as part of improving overall water safety and taste. A whole-house system installed where water enters your Seaglades home treats every tap — cooking, showers, laundry and brushing teeth — rather than only protecting a single faucet, so it provides broad coverage for everyday use.
The most effective single-filter choice for reducing endrin is a whole-house activated carbon tank sized for your home’s flow and usage. Activated carbon removes many organic chemicals, including pesticide-type contaminants, by adsorbing them as water moves through the media. Compared with small point-of-use cartridges, a correctly sized whole-house carbon unit gives the contact time and capacity needed to treat water throughout a Seaglades household, making it a practical solution for continual, homewide reduction.
Performance depends on your water chemistry, flow rate and how much carbon media is installed, so the system should be matched to your household and serviced on schedule. Carbon media loses effectiveness when saturated, so timely replacement is needed to maintain endrin reduction. Many Seaglades homeowners add a sediment prefilter to protect the carbon bed from clogging and uneven flow. Mr. Pure Water can help size and maintain a whole-house activated carbon system to meet your home's needs.
