Including filter system and high-performance Ethinyl Estradiol filter.
Ethinyl estradiol is a synthetic estrogen used in some medications, and tiny amounts can sometimes enter water sources. Because it can be active at very low concentrations, many Franjo homeowners choose a cautious route even when their water looks and tastes normal. It commonly reaches waterways via treated wastewater and everyday household discharge. If you’re worried about what’s coming into your Franjo house, testing plus targeted filtration can help you feel more confident about the water your family uses.
Municipal systems are excellent at handling sediments and microbes, but they don’t always remove every trace organic compound. Ethinyl estradiol is part of a class of micropollutants that often require specialized treatment to address. Because it has no obvious smell or color, it can go unnoticed without lab testing. Installing a whole-house solution in Franjo ensures the water for showers, cooking and laundry is treated consistently throughout your home.
To reduce ethinyl estradiol, the most effective single whole-house option is an activated carbon filter. High-quality catalytic carbon or coconut-shell activated carbon adsorbs many trace organics by trapping them on the carbon surface as water passes through. Mounted at the point of entry, this style of system treats every faucet and shower in your Franjo home, and it does so without adding chemicals to your water.
Performance depends on contact time and how much media is in the tank, so choosing the correct carbon tank size and flow rate for your Franjo household is important. Mr. Pure Water can recommend and size an activated carbon system to give the media enough time to work effectively. Media is consumable—adsorption sites fill up—so timely replacement keeps the system performing; if you’d like, a before-and-after water test can confirm reductions and help set a maintenance schedule.
