Including filter system and high-performance Giardia filter.
Giardia is a tiny parasite that can enter water supplies as hardy cysts; you may also see it called Giardia intestinalis or Giardia lamblia. Because the organisms are invisible, contaminated water usually shows no taste, smell, or visible change, so many Izagora homeowners choose extra protection where water first enters the house. A whole-house barrier gives peace of mind by treating water before it reaches showers, faucets, and appliances.
Everyday risks—like compromised plumbing connections or runoff events—can challenge treatment systems, and some households prefer an additional safeguard even when utilities provide treated water. In Izagora, installing a whole-house system ensures the same level of protection throughout your home so family members sensitive to water quality get consistent coverage at every fixture.
The most effective single filter type for whole-house Giardia protection is a cyst-rated absolute membrane filter. These filters use a fine physical barrier to strain out Giardia cysts rather than relying solely on chemicals. When sized correctly for your home’s flow needs, an absolute membrane can protect multiple fixtures at once without leaving gaps in coverage—a straightforward mechanical solution for reducing the chance cysts reach your taps.
For best results in an Izagora home, install the whole-house membrane filter on the main water line so all incoming water passes through it. Performance depends on selecting the right micron rating and keeping the unit maintained so flow and protection remain steady. Many installations include an upstream prefilter to trap larger sediment and extend membrane life, while the membrane stage itself is the critical step for removing Giardia intestinalis and Giardia lamblia. Mr. Pure Water can help size and match the system to your plumbing and household demand.
