Heptachlor in Baum Florida Water

Unhealthy Levels of Heptachlor in the Water Supply of Baum Florida Homes

Heptachlor is a synthetic pesticide that can linger in the environment long after it was applied. It can reach drinking water when contaminated soil or sediment is disturbed and carried into surface sources, or when runoff enters waterways. Because it’s an organic chemical made by people, you won’t be able to see, taste, or smell it in your tap water. The most reliable way for Baum homeowners to know what’s in their water is to test it and then choose a treatment plan sized for the house.

Heptachlor can break down into heptachlor epoxide in water, so both forms may be present together. Even at very low concentrations, many Baum residents prefer to remove these compounds as part of improving overall water quality. When you’re worried about unhealthy levels, the right approach targets media proven to capture trace organic chemicals. A whole-house system makes sure every tap, shower, and appliance in your Baum home receives the same treated water.
