Heptachlor in Cypress Isles Estates Florida Water

Unhealthy Levels of Heptachlor in the Water Supply of Cypress Isles Estates Florida Homes

Heptachlor is a persistent pesticide that can remain in soils and sediments long after use, and runoff can carry those residues into surface water sources. As a synthetic organic chemical it won’t have a taste, smell, or color you can detect at home, so testing is the only reliable way to know whether it’s present. For Cypress Isles Estates homeowners—who often plan for heavy seasonal rain and hurricane-related outages—a tested, sized treatment plan is the best next step to protect household water.

Heptachlor can break down into heptachlor epoxide, a related compound that may be found with the original contaminant. Though these are usually at very low concentrations, many residents in Cypress Isles Estates choose to reduce them as part of an overall water-quality approach. When concern exists about unhealthy levels, a filtration strategy that targets trace organic chemicals is recommended; a whole-house system ensures the same treated water reaches every tap, shower, and appliance in your Florida home.
