Including filter system and high-performance Lead filter.
In Fidelis, lead in household water most often comes from plumbing rather than the municipal supply. When water sits in older pipes, solder, or certain brass fixtures, tiny amounts of lead can leach into the water you use every day. Because lead has no reliable taste or smell, it can be present even when your tap water looks and smells normal. Many homeowners in the area first learn about it through water testing, a municipal notice, or during a home inspection.
Lead levels can fluctuate within a single Fidelis house—changing by faucet, time of day, or how long water has stood in the pipes. Hot water often dissolves more lead than cold, which is important for bathing and cooking. While replacing lead-bearing plumbing parts can reduce risk, it isn’t always feasible to locate and swap every component right away. A whole-home treatment that reduces lead across every tap gives local homeowners immediate, consistent protection while longer-term repairs are scheduled.
For whole-house lead reduction, a single backwashing carbon tank blended with KDF media is a highly effective residential option. Activated carbon alone is more focused on chlorine and taste and odor control, while KDF works on heavy metals through a redox process that helps reduce dissolved lead as water moves through the media. The backwashing feature periodically flushes trapped particles to keep the media bed cleaner and operating consistently. Installed at the main service line in your Fidelis home, this system treats water at every faucet so you aren’t relying on separate point-of-use devices.
A whole-house backwashing carbon + KDF filter is sized to match your home’s flow so showers, laundry, and outdoor hoses run without significant pressure loss. It also captures fine sediment that can carry lead particles and helps reduce other water issues that stress plumbing. Because lead risk often depends on materials water contacts on its way to your tap, treating water as it enters a Fidelis home limits exposure for all daily uses. Mr. Pure Water can assess your plumbing and water conditions to recommend the right configuration for whole-home protection.
