Including filter system and high-performance Personal Care Products filter.
Everyday soaps, shampoos, lotions, deodorants, fragrances and cosmetics can leave trace ingredients that sometimes find their way into water after use and disposal. These personal care products — often called PPCPs — include many different consumer chemicals that may persist at very low levels and aren’t always detectable by taste or smell. Many Alma homeowners prefer to limit those residues in water used for bathing, laundry and cooking, even when concentrations are small.
Because personal care products span many formulas, they act differently once they enter the water: some dissolve, some cling to particles, and some break down slowly. That variability means detections can be intermittent, influenced by treatment upstream and your water source. For Alma households wanting steadier water quality throughout the home, reducing PPCPs at the point where water enters the house helps deliver more consistent results from every faucet and shower.
For most personal care products, a whole-house activated carbon system sized for full-home flow is the most effective single-filter option. Activated carbon adsorbs many organic compounds linked to personal care products and PPCPs, and because these contaminants are typically present at very low concentrations, adequate contact time with the carbon is important while maintaining strong flow. That’s why a properly sized, high-capacity carbon tank is generally preferred over small cartridge filters for whole-home treatment in Alma residences.
Mr. Pure Water installs whole-house carbon filtration to treat water as it enters your Alma home so reduction happens before water reaches showers, sinks and appliances. This sort of point-of-entry activated carbon system addresses personal care products that sediment filters alone can’t reliably catch, and with the right carbon media and sizing you can improve everyday water quality without changing how you use your plumbing.
