Including filter system and high-performance Personal Care Products filter.
Everyday grooming products can leave tiny residues that end up in the water people use at home. Personal care products include traces from soaps, shampoos, lotions, deodorants, fragrances and cosmetics, along with related compounds often called PPCPs. You usually won’t detect these by smell or taste, but many Barber Quarters homeowners prefer to limit what’s in their bathing, laundry and cooking water. Reducing these trace ingredients at the point water enters your house gives you more control over what flows from your faucets.
Because personal care products come from many different formulas, they act differently once in water—some dissolve readily, some attach to particles, and others degrade slowly. Their presence can vary with upstream conditions and the treatment or source serving your system. In Barber Quarters’ humid subtropical climate, local utilities and private wells may treat water differently, so cutting back on personal care products at the point of entry helps provide a more consistent experience at every shower and sink.
For most personal care products, a single most effective option is a whole-house activated carbon system sized for full-home flow. Activated carbon adsorbs many organic compounds found in personal care products and PPCPs, and because these compounds are often at very low concentrations, adequate contact time with the carbon is important while still keeping strong flow. That balance is why a properly sized, high-capacity carbon tank is generally preferred over small cartridge filters for whole-home treatment in Barber Quarters homes.
Mr. Pure Water installs whole-house carbon filtration to treat water as it enters your Barber Quarters home, reducing personal care products before water reaches showers, sinks and appliances. This point-of-entry approach targets compounds that sediment filters won’t catch and, with the right carbon media and sizing, improves water quality without changing how you use your plumbing. If PPCPs are a concern, a properly sized activated carbon system is a practical way to protect water throughout your house.
