Including filter system and high-performance Personal Care Products filter.
Personal care products can leave tiny residues that enter water systems through normal use and disposal. This category includes traces from soaps, shampoos, lotions, deodorants, fragrances and cosmetics, plus related consumer compounds that may persist at very low concentrations. You probably won’t detect these by smell or taste, but many Kendale Lakes homeowners prefer to limit what’s present in water used for bathing, cooking and laundry. When people say PPCPs, they mean these personal care products and similar consumer chemicals that sometimes survive typical treatment.
Because personal care products cover many different chemistries, they act differently once they reach the water supply — some dissolve, some attach to particles, and others degrade slowly. That variability, combined with changes in source water and treatment, can mean intermittent appearance at the tap. For households around Kendale Lakes and nearby Miami-Dade communities, reducing these compounds at the point where water enters your home helps provide a more consistent water experience in showers, faucets and appliances.
For removing a wide range of personal care product ingredients, the most effective single-filter choice is a whole-house activated carbon system sized to handle full-home flow. Activated carbon adsorbs many organic compounds found in personal care products and PPCPs. Because these contaminants are often present at very low levels, the system needs sufficient contact time between water and carbon while maintaining strong household flow — which is why a properly sized, high-capacity carbon tank is generally preferred over small cartridge-style filters for whole-home protection.
Mr. Pure Water installs whole-house carbon filtration to treat water as it comes into your Kendale Lakes home, reducing personal care products before they reach showers, sinks and appliances. This approach works well where basic sediment filtration won’t target these organic compounds, and with the right carbon media and sizing you won’t need to change how you use your plumbing. For local families—especially in our hard-water Miami-Dade conditions where scale can already affect fixtures—a point-of-entry activated carbon filter is a practical step to improve water quality throughout the house.
