Personal Care Products in Naples Manor Florida Water

Unhealthy Levels of Personal Care Products in the Water Supply of Naples Manor Florida Homes

Everyday grooming and cleaning products can leave behind tiny residues that make their way into household water. This group covers soaps, shampoos, lotions, deodorants, fragrances and cosmetics, along with related consumer compounds sometimes called PPCPs. You won’t usually detect these ingredients by taste or smell, but many Naples Manor homeowners prefer to limit what’s in the water used for showers, laundry and cooking — especially in our hard-water area where mineral buildup is already a concern.

Because personal care products include many different chemical formulas, they act differently once they enter the water system: some dissolve, some attach to particles, and others break down slowly. Their presence can vary depending on where the water comes from and how it’s treated, so levels can be intermittent across supply systems serving Collier County. Installing treatment at the point of entry gives Naples Manor residents a steadier, home-wide reduction in these compounds at every faucet and shower.
