Including filter system and high-performance PFAS filter.
PFAS are a group of manufactured chemicals often called forever chemicals because they persist in the environment. They’ve been added to products for stain resistance, water repellency and some industrial uses. Once PFAS reach water supplies they’re not easily captured by basic treatments or simple pitcher filters, so homeowners sometimes begin exploring options after seeing local testing notices or hearing community concerns in East Naples and nearby Collier County.
Because PFAS can be present even when water looks and tastes normal, many families on streets near Naples Pier, Tin City or Park Shore choose added protection beyond standard utility treatment. Whole-house filtration treats water used for bathing, laundry, dishes and cooking so every faucet delivers the same protected water. In a humid, hard-water place like East Naples, a whole-house system also reduces the chance of reintroducing contaminants while doing everyday tasks like rinsing produce or making ice.
For whole-home reduction, the most effective single option is a correctly sized granular activated carbon tank filled with high-quality carbon that provides long contact time. PFAS molecules adsorb onto activated carbon, and performance improves when flow through the media is slowed. A whole-house carbon tank designed for PFAS is not the same as a small inline cartridge built mainly for chlorine taste or odor; sizing the tank to meet your home’s flow and demand is essential to keep meaningful reduction over time.
Mr. Pure Water installs whole-house granular activated carbon systems at the point where water enters your East Naples home so showers, sinks, appliances and outdoor spigots receive treated water. Long-term results depend on which PFAS are present, your water chemistry and household use—factors influenced by our hard, humid climate—so media selection and replacement schedules are important. If you’re worried about PFAS, we’ll evaluate your needs and recommend a properly sized system for more consistent, dependable water throughout your house.
