Including filter system and high-performance PFAS filter.
PFAS are a group of human-made chemicals often called forever chemicals because they persist in the environment. They’ve been used for stain- and water-repellent finishes and in some industrial processes. When PFAS get into drinking water, they’re not easily removed by basic treatments like pitcher filters or standard faucet cartridges. Many Fidelis homeowners begin exploring solutions after hearing about testing or monitoring in nearby communities and want a more reliable way to protect their household water.
Because PFAS can be present even when water looks and tastes normal, families in Fidelis often choose an additional layer of protection beyond municipal treatment. A whole-house system treats all the water entering your home so showers, laundry, dishes and cooking use the same filtered water. That consistent coverage also helps avoid reintroducing contaminants during tasks like washing produce or filling ice trays. If you want confidence in every tap, focus on filtration technologies that are proven to reduce PFAS.
The single most effective whole-house option for reducing PFAS is a properly sized granular activated carbon (GAC) system using high-quality carbon rated for long contact time. PFAS molecules can adsorb onto activated carbon, and slowing the water flow through a well-engineered carbon tank improves performance. A whole-house carbon tank built for PFAS is substantially different from a small inline carbon cartridge designed mainly for chlorine taste and odor, so correct sizing to meet your Fidelis home’s flow needs is essential to maintain meaningful reduction over time.
Mr. Pure Water installs whole-house activated carbon systems at the main water entry to provide PFAS-reducing filtration for showers, sinks, appliances and outdoor faucets throughout Fidelis homes. Because results depend on which PFAS are present, your water chemistry, and household use, choosing the right carbon media and a proper replacement schedule matters. If PFAS are a concern for your family, we’ll help you pick and size a system that fits your household and gives more dependable filtered water at every tap.
