Including filter system and high-performance PFBA filter.
PFBA is one of the PFAS chemicals that can be found in household water supplies. Bayview homeowners often discover it through private testing, questions about their utility water, or general concerns about contaminants. Because PFBA persists in the environment and can be hard to remove once present, many families around Bayview prefer treatment that reduces it throughout the house — giving confidence in water used for drinking, cooking, and bathing.
PFBA may be present even when your tap water in Bayview looks clear and tastes fine. It can occur alongside other PFAS, which is why some residents choose broader-acting solutions rather than a simple taste-and-odor cartridge. A current water test is the best first step to establish what’s in your supply; from there we can recommend a whole-house system sized to your Bayview home and daily water needs.
To reduce PFBA at the point where water enters your Bayview home, a whole-house granular activated carbon (GAC) filter is generally the most effective single-filter option. GAC works by adsorbing many organic contaminants, including a range of PFAS, as water passes through the media. A correctly sized GAC tank gives the contact time needed for improved reduction and treats every faucet, shower, and appliance in your house, while also addressing common nuisance compounds.
Because PFBA can be more challenging than some larger PFAS, removal depends on carbon quality, bed depth, and flow rate — not just installing a carbon cartridge. Mr. Pure Water designs whole-house GAC systems for Bayview households to maintain adequate contact time through the media. Regular media replacement keeps the carbon from becoming exhausted; if your testing shows multiple PFAS, we’ll help you choose a configuration that targets PFBA while supporting broader PFAS reduction goals.
