Including filter system and high-performance PFBA filter.
PFBA is one of the PFAS compounds that can be found in household water supplies. In Beulah, homeowners typically hear about it after a private water test, a utility notice, or when researching what’s in their drinking water. Because PFBA is persistent in the environment and can be tricky to manage once present, many families prefer a treatment plan that reduces it throughout the house. Tackling it proactively gives you greater confidence in the water used for cooking, drinking, and bathing.
PFBA may be present even when your water looks clear, tastes normal, and has no smell. It often occurs with other PFAS, which is why some Beulah residents opt for solutions that address a broader group of these compounds instead of relying on simple taste-and-odor filters. A current water analysis is the best first step to understand what’s in your supply; from there, we can recommend a whole-house system sized to match your home and daily water use.
To reduce PFBA at the main water entry point, a whole-house granular activated carbon (GAC) filter is usually the most effective single-filter option. As water moves through the carbon media, many organic contaminants — including numerous PFAS compounds — are adsorbed. A correctly sized GAC tank provides the contact time needed for improved reduction and treats every faucet, shower, and appliance in your Beulah home, while also helping with other nuisance compounds carbon captures.
Because PFBA can be more challenging to remove than some larger PFAS, effectiveness relies on carbon quality, bed depth, and flow rate — not just installing a small cartridge. Mr. Pure Water designs whole-house GAC systems to meet your household demand so the media maintains proper exposure time. Regular media replacement is important to prevent exhaustion and loss of capacity. If your water test shows multiple PFAS, we’ll help you select a configuration that prioritizes PFBA reduction while supporting broader PFAS treatment goals for your Beulah property.
