Including filter system and high-performance PFBA filter.
PFBA is a member of the PFAS family that can turn up in household supplies, and many Country Club homeowners first hear about it after a water test or a notice from their utility. Because PFBA is persistent in the environment, families often prefer a treatment strategy that reduces it throughout the entire home — so drinking, cooking, and bathing water feel safer and more reliable, whether you live near Ives Estates, Country Club Estates, or closer to the Miami-Dade service area.
PFBA may be present even when your water looks, smells, and tastes normal, and it can occur alongside other PFAS — which is why many residents around Country Club choose solutions that address a broader group of compounds rather than just basic taste-and-odor issues. The smartest first move is a current water analysis to confirm what’s in your supply from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department; after that, we can recommend a whole-house system sized for your home and household water use in our hard-water area.
To reduce PFBA at the point where water enters a home, a whole-house granular activated carbon (GAC) filter is generally the most effective single-filter option. GAC removes many organic contaminants, including numerous PFAS compounds, by adsorbing them as water flows through the media. A properly sized GAC tank gives the contact time needed to treat water at every faucet, shower, and appliance — helpful in Country Club homes where hard water can also cause mineral scale.
Because PFBA can be tougher to capture than some larger PFAS, performance hinges on carbon quality, bed depth, and flow rate rather than simply adding a cartridge. Mr. Pure Water sizes whole-house GAC systems for local household demand so the media retains effective exposure time, and we schedule regular media replacement so the carbon doesn’t become exhausted. If your test shows multiple PFAS, we’ll help design a configuration that prioritizes PFBA reduction while addressing broader PFAS concerns in your Country Club home.
