Including filter system and high-performance PFBA filter.
PFBA is one member of the PFAS family that can turn up in household water. Foley homeowners often hear about it after receiving water testing results, a utility notice, or simply asking what’s in their water. Because PFBA is persistent in the environment and not always easy to manage, many families in the area prefer a treatment strategy that reduces it throughout the entire home. Tackling it proactively gives you greater peace of mind about the water you use for drinking, cooking, and bathing.
PFBA may be present even when your water looks clear, tastes normal, and has no odor. It can also occur with other PFAS, which is why many Foley residents choose solutions that address a broader range of these compounds instead of relying on a basic taste-and-odor filter. If PFBA is a concern, start with an up-to-date water analysis so you understand what’s in your supply. From that point, a correctly sized whole-house system can be selected to fit your home and usage patterns.
To reduce PFBA at the point where water enters your Foley home, a whole-house granular activated carbon (GAC) filter is typically the most effective single-filter option. Carbon filtration captures many organic contaminants, including numerous PFAS compounds, by adsorbing them as water moves through the media. A properly sized GAC tank gives the contact time needed for meaningful reduction and treats every faucet, shower, and appliance in the house, while also cutting common nuisance compounds that carbon captures.
Because PFBA can be tougher to remove than some larger PFAS, effectiveness depends on carbon quality, bed depth, and flow rate—not just installing a carbon cartridge. Mr. Pure Water designs whole-house GAC systems for Foley homes to match household demand and preserve effective contact time in the media. Regular media replacement is essential so the carbon doesn’t become exhausted and lose capacity. If tests show multiple PFAS, we’ll help you pick a configuration that prioritizes PFBA reduction while supporting broader PFAS treatment goals.
