Including filter system and high-performance PFBA filter.
PFBA is one of the PFAS family members that can be found in household water. In Naples Manor, homeowners typically become aware of it after a private test, a utility notice, or questions about water quality for drinking and cooking. Because PFBA is persistent in the environment and can be difficult to address once present, many families in Collier County choose treatments that reduce it throughout the home so they can feel confident about showers, dishwashing and drinking water.
PFBA may be present even when water looks clear, tastes normal, and has no smell. It can occur alongside other PFAS, which is why some Naples Manor residents opt for systems designed to remove a broader range of these compounds rather than relying on simple taste-and-odor cartridges. The sensible first step is a current water analysis so you know what’s in your supply; after that, a correctly sized whole-house system can be selected to match your home and household water use.
To address PFBA at the point where water enters your Naples Manor home, a whole-house granular activated carbon (GAC) filter is generally the most effective single-filter option. GAC removes many organic contaminants, including numerous PFAS compounds, by adsorbing them as water moves through the media. A properly sized GAC tank gives the contact time needed for meaningful reduction and treats every faucet, shower and appliance — helping with overall water quality as well as PFBA reduction.
PFBA can be tougher to reduce than some larger PFAS, so performance depends on carbon quality, bed depth and flow rate rather than simply installing a cartridge. At Mr. Pure Water we size whole-house GAC systems to match Naples Manor household demand and the area’s typically hard groundwater to maintain effective contact time. Regular media replacement is important so the carbon doesn’t become exhausted; if testing shows multiple PFAS, we’ll help you pick a configuration focused on PFBA reduction while addressing broader PFAS concerns.
