Including filter system and high-performance PFBA filter.
PFBA is a member of the PFAS family that can turn up in household water. In Sellersville, homeowners commonly hear about it after a private or utility water test, or when they’re checking what’s in their drinking water. Because PFBA is persistent in the environment and can be hard to manage once present, many local families prefer treating the water at the whole-house level so every faucet, shower and appliance sees reduced levels. Tackling it early gives Sellersville residents greater peace of mind for drinking, cooking, and bathing water.
PFBA may be in your water even if it looks and tastes normal. It can occur alongside other PFAS, which is why Sellersville homeowners often choose systems designed to address a broader set of these compounds rather than relying on a simple taste-and-odor cartridge. If PFBA is a concern for your household, start with a current water analysis so you know what’s present; from there we can size a whole-house system to fit your Sellersville home and daily water use.
To reduce PFBA where water enters your Sellersville house, a whole-house granular activated carbon (GAC) filter is generally the most effective single-filter option. GAC works by adsorbing many organic contaminants, including numerous PFAS compounds, as water flows through the carbon media. When properly sized, a GAC tank provides the contact time needed for meaningful reduction and treats every tap, shower, and appliance, while also improving overall water quality by capturing common nuisance compounds.
Because PFBA can be more difficult to remove than some larger PFAS, effectiveness depends on carbon quality, bed depth, and flow rate—not just installing a cartridge. At Mr. Pure Water we size whole-house GAC systems for Sellersville homes to keep adequate contact time through the media. Regular media replacement is important so the carbon doesn’t become exhausted. If your testing shows multiple PFAS compounds, we’ll help you choose a configuration that prioritizes PFBA reduction while supporting broader PFAS treatment goals.
