Including filter system and high-performance PFHpS filter.
PFHpS is a member of the PFAS family that can appear in drinking water and is notably persistent. Fidelis homeowners typically first hear about it through water testing, utility communications, or broader coverage of PFAS concerns. Because PFHpS resists breakdown, many families in our area choose to treat water at the point it enters the house rather than rely solely on pitchers or single-tap filters. A whole-house system treats all water entering your Fidelis home, protecting showers, appliances, and faucets alike.
PFHpS and other PFAS usually don’t change water’s taste, smell, or appearance, so clear, normal-looking water can still contain them. These compounds come from many industrial and commercial uses and can reach water supplies in complex ways. If you’re worried about PFHpS in your Fidelis household water, start with a reliable test to learn what you’re dealing with. With test results in hand, you can choose a filtration solution designed to target PFAS while meeting your home’s flow and usage needs.
For whole-home reduction of PFHpS, a granular activated carbon (GAC) whole-house filter is typically the most effective single-filter choice. Quality GAC media adsorbs many PFAS compounds, including longer-chain types like PFHpS, and can handle continuous flow for household use. When installed on the main water line into your Fidelis residence, a properly sized GAC tank treats water before it reaches kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry, helping lower exposure from drinking, cooking, and everyday tasks.
Effective PFHpS removal depends on sufficient contact time and healthy carbon media, so a GAC system should be sized to your home’s flow and demand. In a whole-house setup, appropriate bed depth and service flow allow the carbon to capture PFAS more consistently, and periodic media replacement prevents breakthrough as the carbon becomes exhausted. Mr. Pure Water in Fidelis can assess your household needs and recommend the right whole-house carbon filter to help keep PFHpS reduction steady from every tap.
