Including filter system and high-performance PFHxS filter.
PFHxS is one of the PFAS compounds people sometimes call “forever chemicals” because it can linger in the environment. In Izagora you won’t be able to see, smell, or taste PFHxS in your tap water, and it usually only appears on notice through testing or utility reports. If you’d like more control over the water entering your home, installing point-of-entry treatment — a system that filters water as it comes into the house — is a practical first step for local homeowners.
PFHxS has been used in industrial and consumer applications where PFAS were present, so it can be difficult to remove with basic filters. Common pitcher filters and simple sediment cartridges can capture particles but aren’t designed to reliably reduce dissolved PFAS like PFHxS. Many Izagora homeowners therefore choose a solution that treats all household water — not just a single faucet — so drinking, cooking, bathing, and laundry are all protected.
The most commonly recommended single solution for PFHxS is a whole-house activated carbon system using high-capacity granular activated carbon (GAC). Activated carbon’s porous media can adsorb many organic contaminants, including certain PFAS, and a whole-house GAC unit gives water the contact time it needs for PFHxS to bind to the media. When sized correctly and installed at the main line into an Izagora home, a GAC tank treats water before it reaches any faucet.
At Mr. Pure Water we design whole-house carbon systems around real household use in Izagora — considering flow rates, bed depth, and media volume instead of expecting a small cartridge to shoulder a big job. That matters for PFHxS because performance depends on how long water contacts the carbon and how quickly the media becomes saturated. We’ll size and match a GAC system to your plumbing and water usage so you get consistent filtration at every tap without losing pressure; for treating PFHxS throughout the house, a dedicated whole-house GAC filter is a clear, effective option.
