Including filter system and high-performance PFHxS filter.
PFHxS is one of the PFAS chemicals often called a “forever chemical” because it can remain in the environment for a long time. In Monet you might see PFHxS listed on water quality reports or utility testing results, but you won’t detect it by sight, smell, or taste—testing is the only reliable way to know if it’s present. For homeowners in Monet who want more control over what enters their home, installing point-of-entry treatment is a sensible way to protect water at every tap.
Because PFHxS has been used in industrial applications and products containing PFAS, small amounts can appear in water sources and aren’t always removed by basic filters. Simple pitchers or sediment cartridges may catch particles but aren’t made to reliably lower dissolved PFAS levels. Many Monet homeowners — whether on municipal supply or private wells, where water quality and hardness can vary — choose a whole-house solution so drinking, cooking, bathing, and laundry all receive the same treatment instead of just one faucet.
The single filter type most often recommended for PFHxS is a whole-house activated carbon system using high-capacity granular activated carbon (GAC). Activated carbon’s porous structure can adsorb a range of organic contaminants, including certain PFAS, and in a whole-house installation the important factor is providing enough contact time for the PFHxS to bind to the media. A correctly sized GAC tank installed at the main line treats water before it reaches any fixture in your Monet home.
At Mr. Pure Water we design whole-house carbon systems around real household needs—flow rate, bed depth, and media volume—rather than relying on a small cartridge to do a big job. That approach matters for PFHxS because performance depends on how long water contacts the carbon and how quickly the media becomes loaded. We’ll size and match a system to your Monet plumbing and usage so you get consistent filtration without losing pressure; for addressing PFHxS throughout the house, a dedicated whole-house GAC filter is the practical choice.
