Including filter system and high-performance Pseudomonas filter.
Pseudomonas refers to a family of bacteria that can persist in household plumbing when conditions let them survive and grow. Pseudomonas aeruginosa in particular can form slimy biofilms on damp surfaces and inside fixtures, making it harder to wash away than many other microbes. In Sills homes you may first notice recurring unpleasant odors, a slimy film, or buildup around faucets, showerheads, and aerators where water flow is low.
Because Pseudomonas often lives in biofilms, treating it isn’t always a one-off fix; it can hide in faucet screens, hoses, humid spots, and plumbing sections with low disinfectant residual. Homeowners with sensitive skin or frequent bathing needs in Sills often choose to improve overall water hygiene to reduce exposure. If you’re worried about unhealthy levels of Pseudomonas in your water supply, taking a whole-home approach can help protect every tap.
The most effective single-filter whole-house option for Pseudomonas is a UV (ultraviolet) disinfection system installed at the main water entry to the home. UV inactivates microbes as water flows through the chamber without adding chemicals, making it well suited to control bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A properly sized UV unit treats all incoming water in your Sills residence, reducing exposure during showering, tooth brushing, and washing.
A UV system is usually paired with a sediment prefilter so particles don’t block the light, while the UV lamp provides the microbial control. With correct installation and routine lamp and sleeve upkeep, UV delivers whole-house treatment without altering taste or odor. If biofilm from Pseudomonas has affected fixtures, cleaning or replacing aerators and showerheads after UV installation helps too — Mr. Pure Water can recommend a UV setup sized for Sills homes so treated water reaches every bathroom, kitchen, and hose bib.
