Thallium in Cox Florida Water

Unhealthy Levels of Thallium in the Water Supply of Cox Florida Homes

Thallium is a naturally occurring metal that can appear in drinking water at very low concentrations and becomes worrisome if levels increase. It can enter supplies from industrial discharges, mining, or by leaching from certain soils and rocks, and you generally won’t be able to see, smell, or taste it in your tap water. For Cox homeowners, the practical first step is testing to find out whether thallium is present, then taking steps to reduce exposure where needed.

If your lab results show elevated thallium, it’s wise to act even when water looks and smells normal. Unlike chlorine or visible sediment, metals like thallium aren’t removed reliably by basic pitchers or simple filters, and a whole-house approach gives consistent protection at every faucet, shower, and appliance in your Cox home. Mr. Pure Water can walk you through your test results and recommend the right treatment for your household’s water profile.
