Triclosan in Fidelis Florida Water

Unhealthy Levels of Triclosan in the Water Supply of Fidelis Florida Homes

Triclosan is an antibacterial ingredient found in some soaps, toothpastes, and other everyday products. Because it can wash down drains, tiny amounts may make their way into waterways and, in some areas, into drinking water sources. Many Fidelis homeowners choose to reduce trace contaminants like triclosan throughout the house to improve water consistency and peace of mind; tackling exposure at every tap is a practical step if you’re worried about what’s in your water.

Water that appears clear can still contain low-level organic compounds you can’t see or taste. Triclosan is often called an “emerging contaminant,” which means it isn’t always included in routine testing or reporting everywhere — including small communities like Fidelis. That uncertainty leads many residents to consider whole-house options so they aren’t relying on a single point-of-use filter for cooking, bathing, and brushing teeth.
