Including filter system and high-performance Tungsten filter.
Tungsten is a metal found naturally in the environment that can sometimes appear at low levels in drinking water. In places like Lely Resort, groundwater and local geology — or nearby human activities — can influence what ends up in your tap. Because tungsten is typically colorless and odorless, it won’t give obvious clues, so homeowners in Collier County who want certainty about their water often begin with testing to check for metals such as tungsten.
Until the science around tungsten in drinking water fully evolves, many homeowners in Lely Resort take a practical, precautionary stance when tests indicate elevated amounts. Clear, normal-tasting water can still contain dissolved metals, so regular testing is a smart step — especially for private wells where seasonal shifts and usage can change water quality. If you receive municipal water from Collier County utilities, reviewing the annual water quality report and spot-testing at the tap can confirm what’s actually entering your home.
To lower tungsten at the point where water enters your Lely Resort home, a whole-house reverse osmosis system is generally the most effective single-filter option. RO uses a semipermeable membrane to reject many dissolved metals and inorganic contaminants, reducing tungsten before it reaches faucets, showers, and appliances. Because tungsten tends to be dissolved in water, simpler media aimed at taste and odor won’t be as reliable, so a properly designed whole-house RO—complete with prefiltration to protect the membrane from sediment and chlorine—is recommended.
A whole-house reverse osmosis system for Lely Resort homes can include dedicated storage and delivery so every tap gets treated water. Long-term performance requires correct sizing, sufficient pressure, and routine filter and membrane care because fouling reduces removal effectiveness. Given the hard water common to Collier County, additional pretreatment to address hardness or particulates may be advised to extend membrane life. Mr. Pure Water can review your water test results and recommend a whole-house RO setup tailored to your Lely Resort property.
