Including filter system and high-performance Vanadium filter.
Vanadium is a metal that occurs naturally in rocks and soils and can make its way into drinking water as minerals slowly dissolve. In Fidelis homes you usually won't see, taste, or smell vanadium, so the only reliable way to know if it's present is testing—either from a private well report or a utility water-quality statement. If a lab shows elevated vanadium, it’s sensible to consider a treatment plan designed specifically to reduce dissolved metals.
Levels of vanadium can change a lot across short distances because they depend on local geology and how groundwater interacts with surrounding minerals. In Fidelis that means one neighborhood or well may differ from the next, and vanadium can co-occur with other dissolved minerals. Even when water looks clear and tastes fine, dissolved metals might still be present, so the aim is steady reduction so every tap in your home delivers dependable water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and everyday use.
When treating an entire house, the single filter type most often recommended for reducing vanadium is a reverse osmosis system set up as a point-of-entry unit. Reverse osmosis forces water through a semipermeable membrane that separates many dissolved contaminants, including various metal ions. This method treats what you can’t detect by sight or smell, providing broad reduction at every faucet—an appropriate choice for Fidelis homeowners who test and find vanadium in their supply.
A whole-house reverse osmosis installation is typically used with prefiltration to shield the membrane from sediment and fouling, and often includes post-treatment to adjust water characteristics afterward. Because RO effectiveness depends on the specific water chemistry and pressure in your Fidelis home, system sizing and configuration should be based on your test results and household demand. Mr. Pure Water can assess your report and recommend the right setup so vanadium reduction remains reliable day after day.
